Over 80% of all National Lottery sales goes through the traditional retail outlets. The sales team service approximately 9 000 retailers nationally in order to support Ithuba’s growth strategy and profitability of the business by developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve sales targets.
The sales team collaborates with the Vetting and Accreditation team to maintain the current retail base and to continue to acquire new retailers to start selling National Lottery games. Sales and Marketing are the heart of the Ithuba business. The sales team works hand in hand with the Marketing department to develop marketing plans that guide the activities of sales team.
The sales and marketing plans are designed to engage our retailer partners as well as to drive brand awareness of the National Lottery and each of the games. The sales team in the field are the front line brand ambassadors for Ithuba. They offer training to our retail partners to educate them on the games, how to play as well as engage with players during key activations to increase sales.
Regional offices have several administrators that are trained and equipped to handle all administrative duties as well as paying prizes to winners that come to redeem their winnings.
Our regional managers pride themselves in ensuring that retailers and players alike have an end-to-end solution to their queries and requests.
